Hello. This is my new page in honor of my potential status as a new composer.
I've been writing music, primarily for the theater, since 1992. I have written three full-length musicals; scores of incidental music for three productions; two one-act musicals; and about 25 stand-alone cabaret songs.
My education in music is from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut (where I studied with Alvin Lucier, Neely Bruce, Ron Kuivila, John Barlow and others), and the ongoing BMI Musical Theater Workshop in New York City (Skip Kennon, Richard Engquist, Maury Yeston).
I have also had a tremendous hands-on education in the world of musical theater as a pianist, conductor, actor and director since 1987. Between the classroom and the stage, I have developed a strong foundation of knowledge about theater, and the bottom line remains to tell engaging stories through engaging music.
Although I am not published at this point, recordings and scores are available through me. You can send email to zuty (at) zuty dot com to contact me about any of the pieces listed below.
